REVIEW ASSIGNFOCUS™ HISTORY FOR A CLASSROOM

You can view a comprehensive list of active and historical assignments for an entire classroom on the Insight Dashboard.

1) With the classroom selected, click the AssignFocus tab.

2) Use the checkboxes at the top of the report to choose to view Long-Term Assignments, Short-Term Assignments, or both.

3) Assignments are organized by the date they were created. Each assignment includes the following information:

  • The standard name/code
  • A description of the standard
  • The student(s) it was assigned to
  • The completion status (Not Started, In-Progress, Complete, Goal Reached, Completed All Available, or Assignment Stopped)
  • How much time the student has spent on it
  • The Lesson Type the student received (Just Started, Progressing, Review)
  • The number of lessons completed (for Short-Term Assignments, a green checkmark indicates the lesson was completed with Demonstrated Understanding and a grey checkmark indicates it was completed with No Demonstrated Understanding)
  • A Details button to see additional information

4) If a student struggles on an assignment, they will be presented with easier lessons within the assigned standard or cluster. If a student fails three of the earliest lessons, we will cancel the assignment and the status of the assignment card will read Assignment Stopped . If a student is in the Grades K-2 Learning Environment, their assignment may include lessons that are only playable in the Grades 3+ Learning Environment. They will be able to complete all lessons available in their environment and then they will receive the status Completed All Available. If you feel the student is ready for the 3-5 Environment, you can manually adjust the student by following the instructions HERE.

5) You can collapse or expand any assignment card by clicking the arrow in the top-right corner of the card.

6) Click the Export button  to view all assignments in a CSV spreadsheet.

7) To cancel an active assignment, click the Cancel link on the assignment card.

8) On a Short-Term Assignment, click More under "Details" in order to view the exact lessons a student worked on for the assignment and the time spent on each lesson. Click View Lesson to play a demo of the lesson.

9) Click View on a Long-Term Assignment to open an in-depth report of the student's progress in the standard or cluster.

10) The graph compares the target trajectory of a student's proficiency in order to meet the selected standard or cluster over the assignment duration (Aim Line) with the student's current trajectory (Trend Line). Hover over the Trend Line plot points in order to view the exact percentage of proficiency. At the bottom of the graph, you can see the total lessons completed and minutes spent on the assignment for each week, as well as the percentage of growth made that week.

11) If a cluster was assigned, you can click the drop-down menu at the top of the report to view the progress made in each standard that makes up the cluster.

12) Below the graph, you can view the lessons completed or paused over each week and the time spent on each lesson. If the student is struggling, click Play Lesson to try the lesson so that you can best help them understand it.
